go to: RETREAT HOME REGISTRATION PROGRAM DIRECTIONS PACKING LIST LINKSABOUT US: In 2012, we were very excited to reintroduce The Laymen’s Institute as The Retreat. This change reinforced that we have substantially updated our programming to meet the needs and interests of today's adult Jewish men (21+). However, we have kept the both the ruach and ideals of what is proudly the first and oldest weekend retreat for Jewish men in America.The Retreat is sponsored by The New England Region of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs (NER FJMC). Membership in a synagogue or Men’s Club is not required for attendance and we welcome Jewish men of all traditions. TIME AND PLACE: The weekend begins on Thursday afternoon and ends Sunday morning before noon. Men may arrive and leave according to their own schedules, although we discourage traveling on Shabbat. The Retreat will once again take place at Camp Ramah in Palmer, MA, just a 75-minute drive west of Boston along the Mass Turnpike. Carpools are available.
